Origins was the official newsletter of the UNSW Archives. Issued annually, it documented the activities, developments, and initiatives of the Archives and included a listing of new accessions for each year.
Established by the University’s first Archivist, Laurie Dillon, the newsletter sought to promote awareness of the Archives’ holdings and to foster understanding of UNSW’s history within both the University and the wider community. It demonstrated how collections could support the work of staff, academics, researchers, administrators, students, and others with an interest in the University’s heritage.
Origins was first published in May 1995 and ran for a total of 14 annual issues, concluding in April 2012.
