TitleField testing of pedestrian crossing materials to determine "skid resistance" values of paint on zebra crossing. the bearded gentleman on the left is John Geremin, who was a laboratory assistnat/technician in the school of highway engineering, with a British Pendulum Friction Tester on a then-new compound used for marking pedestrian crossings. the project was funded by the old NSW Traffic Authority and supervised by Dr Jim Croft of the UNSW Institute of Highway and Traffic Research.
