TitleLast Meeting of Council before 1989 UNSW Act Changes. The University of New South Wales Act 1989 came into force on 1 July 1990 and changed the Council to comprise 21 members. Attending the 4 June meeting were (left to right, standing): the Deputy Chancellor, Dr Jessica Milner Davis; the Chancellor, Justice Gordon Samuels; the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Michael Birt and Professor Jarlath Ronayne (Deputy Vice-Chancellor - non-council member).
